Hey, I'm Kayleigh

I was born and raised in the Shuswap, BC. I have moved around a couple of times but always found myself back in this beautiful valley.

I began my photography journey about ten years ago with absolutely no idea that I would pursue the art for many years to come. I completed a four-year high school photography course. After high school, I landed a job with the local newspaper, photographing weekend events, which I still do to this day!

In 2019 I found my way to Edmonton to continue learning the ins and outs of photography at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. As we all know, a virus shut down the schools only seven months later. I happened to decide to spontaneously pack up my laundry and my cat and surprise my parents, who were still back in Salmon Arm at the time, that same weekend that the world shut down. So, I stayed. Continued school online and "walked the stage" digitally in 2021.

Throughout the years I have photographed many subjects, and I have found the ones I dislike and the ones I thrive at. Although I still have a long journey ahead of me, I am very excited to see where my next path in life takes me.

My one goal in all of this is to capture as many emotions as possible, including the good, the bad and the ugly. Senior pets are where my heart lays. If you or someone you know is going through the tough Rainbow Bridge decision, please contact me. I would be honoured to photograph your furry friend one last time, doing what they love.

Thank you for reading my story, I hope I get to be a part of yours.
